Hiking
Lakeside loop (accessible), Genneralm (moderate), Loibersbachhöhe touring skills trail — marked paths through the Osterhorngruppe from the doorstep.
The Osterhorngruppe awakens. Crocuses, primroses, spring snowflakes — and hardly a person on the trails.
As soon as the snow melts, the hiking trails around Hintersee open. The lakeside loop is accessible along the shore, and the Genneralm invites a first moderate tour. In April the fishing season begins — until the end of September the clear water draws anglers looking for brown trout, Arctic char, and grayling.
The hotel sits right on the lake. Early risers have the quiet to themselves: bird migration over the water, wood anemones in the woods, views of Regenspitz and Gruberhorn with no haze.
