Since 2015 Albert jun. has led the hotel. A trained cook, he is responsible for the 4-course menus and the daily operation.

The 4-star hotel DAS Hintersee is run by the Ebner family. Behind the scenes, 22 team members work together – many share the same last name. Four generations, one house, one address: Hintersee 4.

Petra – Accounting & Service
Petra keeps the finances on track and is still regularly in the restaurant. Her attentiveness to guests is well known.
Lisa – Packages & Pricing
Lisa joined the leadership team in 2015. She takes care of pricing and packages and, as mother of Sophia, Hanna and Moritz, brings family life into the hotel.
Anna – Social Media & Office
On the team since 2017. Anna manages the #hinterseemoments channel and supports both office and restaurant.
Albert sen. – Technik & Ausflugstipps
The senior lends a hand with many trades and knows the area inside out. If you need a hiking recommendation, ask him.
Erika – Küche & Frühstücksbuffet
Erika is a trained baker and a specialist in Austrian cuisine. The breakfast buffet and the pastries bear her signature.
Alex – All-rounder
With us permanently since April 2025. As Lisa’s husband, Alex helps wherever support is needed – and that is rarely just one thing.

With the Ebners, hospitality is not a service but a habit. Everyone in the house knows the guests, and most guests end up knowing everyone in the house. That is the difference between a hotel and a place you return to.
We haven’t done this for generations because it is easy – but because it feels right.
