Family-run since 1790
Four generations. One house. One valley.
What began as a small Gasthof in the Salzkammergut is today DAS Hintersee — a 4-star hotel still run by the Ebner family. Each generation has added to the house, step by step, without forgetting where it comes from.
Sebastian and Anna Helminger laid the foundation. Through Erika and Albert Ebner Senior, the house passed to Albert junior and Petra. Today the fourth generation is already growing up — Sophia and Hanna Ebner.

The Ebner family today
Albert and Petra Ebner have run DAS Hintersee since 2006. Their daughters Lisa and Anna grew up between the Gasthof, the mountain forest, and the quiet lake. With Sophia and Hanna, the fourth generation is growing into this house — a place that changes, but stays true to itself.
